Sacramento State Placer
Placer One has a major focus on education. At its core is Sacramento State Placer, a 300 acre collaboration between Sacramento State and Sierra College. The California State University Board of Trustees has approved the master plan and the Placer County Board of Supervisors has allocated $2.5 million to move forward with the design of the County Forensics Lab. Master Plan documents can be found here.
When the campus first opens, it can accommodate 1,500 students. In the current master plan, the campus is planned to accommodate 12,000 Sacramento State and Sierra College students. In addition to a regional forensic lab and academic buildings, the campus will include a conference center, a performing arts building, a library and more.
