Phase 1 Town Center Development

The Placer One Town Center is reserved at the heart of the community for a pedestrian-oriented area. Framed by a mix of supporting uses, including the Sacramento State Placer Center, this 200-acre nucleus is envisioned as the activated core of local social life.

With the Welcome Center acting as the initial anchor for a new, vibrant mixed-use place, the focus will eventually shift to a walkable main street environment, featuring activated sidewalks, shade, and open spaces for guests. Permanent art installations, pop-up art, and activation will be present everywhere, as they are foundational elements. And mixed-use will create a stage set for life, with cultural, entertainment, commercial, and residential uses blended to support 24/7 activity. In a nod to the late philanthropist Eli Broad, the Town Center will be named in his honor.

The Welcome Center

The initial iconic piece for the Town Center will be a new Welcome Center.  Designed for its ultimate purpose, the building’s next life will be as an art gallery and hub for the Placer One art initiative.

The Welcome Center will serve as the first touchpoint for visitors to Placer One, offering a central location for more information and resources on available homes, amenities and the community as a whole. Building for the Welcome Center is projected to begin in the Fall of 2026 with a planned opening in late 2027.
