Artfully Inspired

Placer One Public Art
Art can express ideas and form connections like few things can. We’ve weaved its influence into the heart of all of Placer One’s shared spaces to inspire a stronger sense of community. It is our hope that the publicly accessible art and artistic infrastructure we are implementing will enhance the community’s quality of life, prompt meaningful interactions and exploration, and establish a sense of identity unique to Placer One.

Our Plan The Placer One Initiative
It is our holistic approach to ensuring that art is both the backbone and the heart of the community. It will also guide the commissioning and purchasing of public art, artistic infrastructure, and wayfinding elements. The plan is also meant to be a resource and source of inspiration for others contributing to the development of Placer One in the future as the community grows.
The Placer One Art Initiative was made possible through a collaboration between Taylor Builders, VIA Partnership, Graham Projects and Blue Line Arts. We have and will continue to partner with local artists throughout this project to promote and support their important work. We regularly post updates about our public art projects on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Phase 1 Projects
Phase 1 of Placer One is predominantly residential in nature. A variety of Public Art projects are planned for parks, paseos, neighborhood monuments, and other select locations.
Neighborhood Monumentation Project
We are excited to share that Annie Howe of Annie Howe Papercuts has designed the first three neighborhood monuments for Phase 1A. Annie creates handmade papercuts for businesses, publications and private collections; these papercuts can be translated into a variety of applications. For Placer One, Annie designed three unique neighborhood monuments that match the street names in Phase 1A: shrubs, trees, and plants; grasses; minerals and rocks.
