The Welcome Center
You’ll feel right at home in the Placer One Welcome Center, located in Placer One’s upcoming 200-acre Town Center. The Welcome Center will serve as the first touchpoint for visitors to Placer One, offering a central location for more information and resources on available homes, amenities and the community as a whole. Building for the Town Center will occur during Phases 1B, 1C and 2C, while the Welcome Center projected for 2027.

Amenities
There are expansive areas within Placer One marked for parks and recreation pursuits, along with an extensive network of open space paseos and landscaped passageways. There are plans to include numerous parks, ranging up to 36 acres, as well as pickleball and basketball courts, soccer and softball fields, covered community areas and even an outdoor stage for performances. Several large shopping areas are proposed, including one site with up to 300,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

Sacramento State Placer
Placer One has a major focus on education. At its core is Sacramento State Placer, a 300 acre collaboration between Sacramento State and Sierra College. The California State University Board of Trustees has approved the master plan and the Placer County Board of Supervisors has allocated $2.5 million to move forward with the design of the County Forensics Lab.
When the campus first opens, it can accommodate 1,500 students. In the current master plan, the campus is planned to accommodate 12,000 Sacramento State and Sierra College students. In addition to a regional forensic lab and academic buildings, the campus will include a conference center, a performing arts building, a library and more.
