Student-Focused School Districts

Choosing a home is about more than where you live—it’s about the community your children will grow up in, the educators who will inspire them, and the friendships and memories they’ll carry with them for years to come. Families who join Placer One will be welcomed into two caring, student-focused Roseville school districts that truly value every child’s unique gifts, dreams, and journey.

The Roseville City School District (RCSD) is a place where childhood is cherished, curiosity is encouraged, and students are supported both in school and in life. RCSD establishes and maintains boundaries for schools serving preschool through 8th grade. In 2025, the California Department of Education rated RCSD schools “green” for the first time ever. Compared to nearly 20 other school districts of similar size and similar or greater proportion of high-need students, RCSD ranks 1st in ELA, Math, and Science.

To learn more, view the Roseville City School District Locator, RCSD’s Placer One page with information for new families, or the 2025 State of the District video, which mentions the planned K-6 school in Placer One!

High school students living in Placer One are assigned to the Roseville Joint Union High School District (RJUHSD)—a district that embraces teens for who they are today while helping them grow into who they want to become. With a variety of academic paths, arts and music programs, athletics, career-focused opportunities, and supportive educators, RJUHSD’s mission is to ignite innovative and meaningful learning, inspire powerful impact in our communities, and prepare all students for multiple paths to success.
